It's called a Double Angled Gatefold. However once I got going, it was easier than it looked. I found the instructions for the card <a href="https://stampwithtami.com/blog/2022/05/awash-in-beauty-angled-gatefold-series-cards-6-7/">here</a>. <div>I had some leftover DSP from last year, Blackberry Beauty and wanted to get it used up. I chose Blackberry Bliss as my card base, and layered it with Rich Razzleberry and the dsp. Using the Gathered Leaves Dies,(R) on Gold paper I decorated a belly band.I used more dsp from the pack. The label is cut from Fresh Freesia CS. My stamp is non SU. I love, love, love, how the card turned out.</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The line I chose was stencil, colored card base, and purple or pink. I picked the Hippest Hippo stamp/ die set for the card. I think the Hippos are pretty cute. I colored him up with the light and dark Smokey Slate blends. Using a stencil is not something I do very often at all!! I was able to pull out my Blending Brushes and give them a whirl on the stencil. The purple is his goggles and some of the flowers are purple and pink. My card base is the retired Rococo Rose, and I layered Soft Seafoam on top of that. I am pretty happy with my card. Breaking out of my comfort element a little bit at a time.<div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I wanted to give the girls a thank you card, in appreciation of them supporting my little business. I searched pinterest and found this card. The Sending Smiles stamp set and dies has been used a lot! So many lovely sentiments, to use. Birthdays, Thank you, Sympathy or just a hello! <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

For their anniversary I chose to make a card using her wedding colours. Lime green and black. I love slimline cards so this was a great opportunity to use the now retired, Slim card dies. The dsp I used is also retired, and I still had some of the leftover dsp from her wedding invitations to use up. I chose the Nature's Prints stamp set and co-ordinating dies to accent the card. Other cuts found on the card were bits and pieces on my desk. <div>When both Jeff and Kelly saw the card, they recognized the dsp from their wedding.❤<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

He loves Giraffe's so I found a stamp just for him. I colored the Giraffe using SU's Crumb Cake blends, both light and dark. Various shades of greens were used as well for the leaves inside the frame. The dsp is retired, but suits the card perfectly! <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

As you know, I love a layered card, and this one suits the bill. I embossed the white piece, added a small piece of retired dsp, and then layered Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Basic white card stock. I stamped my flower with Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and the center of the flower with Soft Suede. The flower was cut out using the dies, and popped up using Dimensionals. My sentiment is from the same stamp set, and the die for sentiment from the dies. The ribbon, in Old Olive is long retired!<div>OK...that's it! Enjoy. I hope you come back another day, to see what I have been up to!</div><div>Till next time...Barb</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Today's card is made, following a tic tac toe challenge, we were recently given in a swap I participate in. I chose, Feminine, Friendship and Square, to make my card. I am loving, as I call them, In the water cards. Many components complete this square card. Some current and some retired. I used the Seashells 3D embossing folder, and then trimmed out the part I wanted on my card. The Seaside Seashells die was used and again I trimmed out what I wanted. Beautiful retired dsp helped me out. Blushing Bride cardstock is the colour choice, and a retired Embossing folder made the Gorgeous background. The little Seahorse is retired, and my greeting is from Friends are Like Seashells. I love the greeting, it is so true! How do you think I did? </div><div>Till next time...happy creating!</div><div>Barb</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I recently bought a stamp set from a buy and sell site. My friend has it...and does not like it! I searched Pinterest for cards using " Enjoy the Moment", and found one I liked. This is my take on the card. It's actually one of my favorite cards I have made! The die is found on page 170 of the Stampin' Up! AC. I had received a card using this fold, so I got out my trusty ruler and made my own. I love the way it turned out. Sadly the dsp and lacey die are both retired now.<div>Happy Crafting till next time!</div><div>Barb<br><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Aren't they cute? I found the cards on Pinterest and knew immediately I wanted to CASE them. The new colors have great names, Sweet Sorbet, Starry Night, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis, and Parakeet Party. Do you have a favorite?<div>Till next time</div><div>Barb<br><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I hope everyone has been well, and been creating the past few years. I have been crafting almost everyday! Just not posting. For anyone who is new to my blog, I am C.A. S. (Copy and share) card maker. I get my cards from pinterest, or blogs, and make slight changes. </div><div>So my first post is using The Sending Smiles stamp set. The card features, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green and Soft Suede Inks, and Mango Melody cs. I also added some of the Brushed Brass Butterfies. Most of my cards in my stash, have a greeting that can be used for a Birthday card, since that is what I use most often.</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I cannot believe how long it has been since I last posted a card. I guess life got in the way. My oldest grandson is turning 8 tomorrow and this is the card I made for him. He loves soccer. I used scraps for the background, and made the soccer ball from the Hexagon embossing folder, using white, and then making a second embossed piece I cut out the hexagons. I was happy with the way it turned out.<br />
Hopefully I will get back into posting.<br />
Until then...happy card making!Barb http://www.blogger.com/profile/05998915912664347861noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8202182199345321455.post-83620174432340089752016-09-19T12:00:00.000-04:002016-09-19T12:00:20.461-04:00Garden in Bloom<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hello!<br />
Here I am again, with my Garden in Bloom stamp set. I make lots of cards, and this one...I just L.O.V.E. It is Pinterest Inspired..I did change up a couple of things. I liked it so much, I have made it for a swap I am in, plus...I made a few others, just changed up the sentiment. Watermelon Wonder is the featured colour.<br />
Enjoy!<br />
